After a 7-hours meeting, Artur Mas, in the Gothic Hall of the Generalitat Palace, together with the vice-president Joana Ortega, the presidental Counceller Frances Homs and the deputies of the Catalan Parliament Oriol Jonqueras (ERC), Marta Rovira (ERC), David Fernàndez (CUP), Quim Arrufat (CUP), Joan Herrera (ICV), Joan Mena (EUiA), Jordi Turull (CDC) and Ramon Espadaler (UDC). The president stated it was an “intensive day”, “many hours” and “good work”. He summa-rized “everything was fine”, and that “the process goes on despite the Spanish State hostility that wants to block the 9N Consultation.”

Oriol Junqueras (ERC) said that no advanced elections have been considered because there is a wish to obey the Parliament mandate that supports the Consultation, therefore, in this meeting “we worked to make the 9N Consultation possible.”

the CUP deputy David Fernàndez declared “today, we have armored the Consultation”, and that the deputies “assume the possible consequences that may arise from the actions”. Joan Herrera (ICV) stated that “there’s no way out without voting” and that discretion is something important to restart the preparation of the 9N Consultation, so the next actions to take will be seen the following days and hours. We’ll take every step normally”. The vice-president of the Government, Joana Ortega (UDC) stressed the importance of the unity of the parties that support the Consultation.
